GREENWOOD VILLAGE – The “Give More Girls,” a group of Broker Associates and support personnel with RE/MAX Masters Millennium of Greenwood Village, held its annual spring charity event to benefit the James Resource Network on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Nonna’s Italian Bistro in Centennial. The spring committee of the Give More Girls includes Lisa Mooney, Dawn Sena, and Peggy Talbot, who collectively organized the event that helped gather donations encompassing a variety of items needed by the network

The James Resource Network is a local organization dedicated to providing single parents and their children with a network of resources to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in order to help facilitate the best family situation possible. Founded by Executive Director Sandra Coen, the James Resource Network currently offers support groups, mentors, life-skill classes, budget counseling, divorce recovery, and material aid through clothing, food, furniture, and transitional housing. The organization also offers help finding construction and repair work, auto mechanics, legal and psychological services.

The James Resource Network provides supportive services on a case by case basis through the network or through partner agencies on the top two or three needs a family may have when in a crisis situation. James Resource Network also hosts a number of events per year to give clients an opportunity to gather as a group for support and fellowship, such as a family portrait day, school supply drive, Christmas Tea and Christmas gift giveaway. The network’s major project is to provide attainable housing, which volunteers work fervently on increasing because the need is so great.

James Resource Network purchased its first home in collaboration with Tralee Capital over a year ago and the family who was chosen through the application process is allowed to live there up to two years while they are working on becoming self-sufficient. James Resource Network also operates She She’s Corner and Compleat Couture as additional revenue streams from which 100 percent of the profit after overhead goes directly into the mission of the network. She She’s Corner sells gently used, upscale women’s clothing. Compleat Couture is a charitable bridal salon whose proceeds help single parent families through the James Resource Network. For more information, please visit www.JamesResourceNetwork.com. James Resource Network gets many opportunities at the stores to visit with its customers and raise awareness for the needs of single parent families and to recruit volunteer and donation support.

“Through the support and services provided by the James Resource Network, we see the prospect of families being restored to wholeness, hope, stability, and a future filled with possibilities,” said Peggy Talbot, Ambassador at RE/MAX Masters Millennium and a member of the Give More Girls. “We are proud to support such a worthy organization.”
